Vote Rump
We answered the brief by designing a burger…
What started as a tricky brief, became the gift that kept giving once we landed the Vote Rump campaign.
“do something amazing and controversial that gets us as much free publicity as it sells burgers - with 100k!” was the brief, and ‘belief in burgers’ was the proposition. Luckily for us, an idiot was in the running for president whose name sounded a little like a piece of beef, and was just as thick as the thickest product we’d never made. The rest, as they say, is history.
The work ran across digital super sites, print OOH, digital drop down banners, MPU’s, push notifications, and social, and the response was overwhelming:
Won most creative campaign globally on the Drum and stayed there for a week. Won a Silver Epica, was picked up the press on more than one occasion and is in the permanent collection at the New York Poster house (a brand new poster museum in New York). Oh, and the product sold out in many places on day one - selling more burgers than any other, AND putting GBK firmly back on the map.
It was a big idea at it's finest.
